The Kent Stater/KentWired

The Kent Stater and its digital component KentWired serve as Kent State's campus newspaper. Positions held include: entertainment reviewer, reporter, feature writer, features editor and editor-in-chief. During my time with The Kent Stater/KentWired, I have covered a vast range of topics including: breaking news, social issues, event coverage and general university life.

August 2019 - May 2021

A Magazine

A Magazine is Kent State's fashion, beauty and culture publication. Positions held include: assistant editor, writer, web editor and editor-in-chief. A Magazine was originally founded as a feminist magazine and continues to specialize in delivering honest, engaging, on trend and thought provoking content. Print clips available upon request.

The Burr Magazine

The Burr is Kent State's oldest magazine and features content relevant to the general student audience. Positions held include: writer, blogger, social media director and editor-in-chief. Print clips available upon request.

January 2021 - June 2021

The Land

I worked as an editorial intern for The Land, a local news startup that reports on Cleveland and the city's inner ring suburbs. During my time at The Land, I reported stories, helped edit stories and develop a weekly newsletter and managed social media accounts on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.

Summer 2020

Public News Service - Ohio News Connection

I was the 2020 summer intern for the Ohio News Connection. I worked remotely and covered issues relevant to the Ohio audience ranging from public policy to the effects of COVID-19 in the state. I was responsible for conducting interviews, editing audio clips to accompany the web story and working with editors and producers to prepare my work for publication.

Summer 2019

Jargon: Kent State's Alumni Magazine

I volunteered during the summer semester to write two features for Jargon about award-winning Kent State alumni to be featured in print magazine. I was responsible for contacting sources, writing the story, working with editors on a deadline and obtaining photos from sources to print. Printed clip available upon request.
